Powertech have developed in conjunction with a high quality manufacturer the Suntech ER Series Solar water heater system.
The ER Series of solar water heaters are all glass evacuated tubes, integrated with state-of-the-art heat pipes and advanced heat fin design, allowing hot water at mains pressure.

The Suntech ER series solar water heater is ideal for those who have no existing hot water storage facility as the hot water storage tank forms a part of the solar collector. We see this a strongly marketable product in countries with warm climates such as Spain.

Er Solar Water Heater Efficient heat transfer

The Suntech ER series solar collector directly feeds the hot water storage tank.  This provides incredibly efficient heat transfer as the heat pipe is in direct contact with the tank itself.
This solar collector is so efficient it can heat the water to over 90 degrees, so we use a mixer valve which gives us up to 350 litres of hot water.

Suntech ER Easy to install

It comes as one unit that can be coupled together with other units as desired. Normally installation is complete within a day.

No need for additional pump

As the hot water storage tank is on the roof, the Suntech ER series solar water heater is a gravity fed system, meaning that no additional pumps are needed to move hot water around a building. Where distance is required add an undersink heater.

Easy to repair

If in the unlikely circumstance that one tube breaks, the system will still operate. Individual tubes can be replaced without any disruption to the hot water supply.

Features of ER Solar Series

  • HI food grade stainless steel 316 plate from Japan. State of-the-art welding also in 316 to achieve potable water status.
  • Through the 365 degree inner tube absorber, reflectors behind the tubes, the heat-up time is very fast from the time the sun rises on the east side of the tube until it goes down  on the west side – unlike flat plate, which has a high output during the sun’s highest energy, around midday.
  • Utilisation all year ‘round, even in cold, windy climates where freezing does not occur below -2 degrees Celsius for short periods of time.
  • Can operate with incoming water pressures of 0.45 Mpa – no circulating pump or controller necessary.
  • The system will still function if a tube loses its vacuum or is accidentally damaged.
  • All day tracking capabilities due to 365 degree absorber on inner tube.
  • The diffuser reflector plate behind the glass tubes adds to the heat gain during blue sunlight days.
  • The ER Solar Series, when consisting of more than one unit, can be installed using parallel and/or series connections, increasing the hot water capacity supply.
  • All pressure safety valves are manufactured by Caleffi, a high quality Italian branded company, for guarantee of safety.
